Juliana von Sohsten

Juliana von Sohsten has long been involved in the field of wellness. Although she received an undergraduate degree in business from Salvador University in her native land of Brazil, this was just preparation to pursue her passion. After moving to Philadelphia with her husband, Roberto, she received an MBA in health care administration from St. Joseph’s University. Her outstanding academic record and her exceptional work in the field earned her a position as practice manager at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Here, working with physical therapists, she discovered Pilates.

Afflicted with a significant curvature of her spine, she suffered from debilitating back pain for many years.

When a therapist suggested she try Pilates, Juliana learned first-hand the miracles wrought by The Method. Within the first few sessions, the pain lessened and gradually her back muscles strengthened. And her progress continued, even during her first pregnancy. Delighted with the improvement she made, Juliana resolved to share the benefits of Pilates with others.

After completing Power Pilates Comprehensive Certification, she began teaching in Boca Raton. But she continued her studies, attending workshops and seminars with Jay Grimes, Siri Dharma Galliano, Daria Pace, Dorothee VandeWall, Chris Robinson, Juanita Lopez, and Sari Mejia Santo. Her experience with these renowned master trainers introduced her to the authentic classical Pilates method. Juliana knew she had to take her education to another level, completing the most prestigious Pilates certification, Romana’s Pilates. She has also has extensive experience in Iyengar yoga.
